uxCast is a software solution that provides a fully hosted, easy-to-use suite of website tools. From web content management to Search Engine Marketing to an eCommerce storefront our solutions help our clients maximize user experience, while reducing their overall web-related cost.

Although uxCast was formed in 2007, the technology assets at the core of the company have been through many years and several million dollars of research and investment.

Early Years (1998-2001) - Originally, our software solution was built to power ePrairie.com, a Chicago business news publication. It was designed as a web-based publishing system to enable "non-technical" news writers and editors to effortlessly publish content-- like news stories and photo galleries-- to the web, also offering them the ability to easily "build-and-send" daily and weekly email newsletters to ePrairie's growing list of e-subscribers.

Mature Solution (2001-2006) - The solution was purchased by two of founding members of ePrairie.com and spun off into a separate company. They saw the value of what the solution provided, founding 1871 Media to sell hosted content and email newsletter management software to small companies, media outlets and associations. After several years of operations, 1871 Media had more than 70 clients relying upon its platform to run their web sites.

Next Generation (2007 beyond-) - As part of uxCast, the software solution has developed into a highly-dependable, easy-to-use technology platform that helps hundreds of companies of all sizes run their web sites.
